We really only talk "scientifically" when someone tries to call us out on our knowledge. We only talk prim-and-proper in front of clients/customers.
I've been a candy salesman, academic, programmer, technical customer support, and janitor (and some other minor stuff). It's the same in all professions. We talk differently depending on who we're talking with.

As you say, technical jargon when someone's trying to start something, because that's usually an easy way to see how far they understand you; slang jargon with coworkers, because it's faster and they will understand you; and proper and descriptive with customers, because they might not know all technical expressions and it's your job to make them understand. Bosses are treated either like clients or coworkers, depending on their knowledge of the gritty stuff.

Unless the original really is this juvenile, can we not have the the MC's dialogue and narration be written as though a 15 year old kid trying to be edgy did it? Like, the man's in his 30s lol.
I'm a project manager whose job is to talk to clients on behalf of the grunts, and I speak like this when I dont have to be formal and polite, whats wrong tho

He's going to be making a Japanese style bathhouse bath, isn't he?
It does seem like the kind of dumb overused solution to this. Honestly he could go modern, mix in some personal and local touches, and get great results; but, of course, that wouldn't be "eccentric" enough. So a very stylized option like Japanese, is likely to be what he settles for.

Karon-kun is 99% going to be a loli karen-chan that is going to be confused with being a boy till the mc probably takes a bath together with her maybe to test out the new bathroom and he finds out , she wasnt karon-kun and yes karen-chan.
That's way too predictable...

it's probably 100% spot on :ROFLMAO:

Either a modern bathroom (most likely japanese style) or a hot spring theme, and it will probably act as a green/hothouse for the plants that were withering outside.

As an engineer in my 30's, I do indeed talk this way at times. We really only talk "scientifically" when someone tries to call us out on our knowledge. We only talk prim-and-proper in front of clients/customers. So yeah, I don't get the issue the other fella has with the way the group TLed this at all.

Also, the MC is more an architect than engineer. If you are wondering why I'm clarifying, there's a saying in engineering: Call an architect an engineer and they'll be flattered. Call an engineer an architect and the gloves start coming off... :dogkek:
I'd argue that he's more engineer than architect; he designs his actual constructions to be functional first and foremost. :p It's just "hoity-toity Duke's bathroom design has to be extra" is bringing out his inner architect. XD

Either a modern bathroom (most likely japanese style) or a hot spring theme, and it will probably act as a green/hothouse for the plants that were withering outside.
I hope it's a hothouse concept that he goes, "Oh hey, those plants, lets use them as the basis for the concept!" and then incorporates modern plumbing-style conveniences, rather than yet another "Oh, my Japanese soul craves hot springs!" situation.
