The duke girl figured out who Kanata was based on the princess' way of treating him. They never had a battle.

There is another school type battle later vs the empire, the girl he fights there COULD beat him, but loses in the end anyways, she has the power of ice and basically froze the air so it was super hard for him to breathe. Kanata wins through just overpowered use of mana. She is a fanatic too ofc, and was able to figure who he was prior to the battle cause she traced his magic usage since he was nearby in the kingdom when he streamed. She is strong enough to where she gets excited and the rain freezes and stays mid air.

This is why context is important and apparently the manga cut a big chunk of context that was present in the LN. Just look at Heavenstar's comment on the first page if you're curious

They just had a talk in that garden where Athena just comes out and calls him Streamer and says that Kanata's mannerisms gave himself away. There was no duel, nor any drugging, but I can see why they added this, but that's another thing by itself.

That girl's - her name is Anise btw - the least of his worries from the empire. Also, the other reason he won against her was that Shidou had finalized his earpods and Kanata basically used ASMR and it was super effective.

Just like the kingdom Kanata calls home, he has fanatic followers in some REALLY high places remember? Rosalynde, I think her name was? And isn't she supposed to be a kind of master-of-all battle maniac?

I didnt give out names and was kinda loosely basing it so not too much was given out.

Yea, she is the most powerful "human" besides Kanata in raw magic. The demons queen still trumps her by a large margin though. I remember now that Kanata chose the ASMR approach instead of the big burst of power so it wouldnt give himself away, since he kinda just relies on "big boom" when he did have to, since he really isn't there to fight.
