I wouldn't be surprised if he got a god into his harem or something at this point

Just to add a perspective, he’s the first and only one in the business in that world. No one else could replicate him because no one else could broadcast with their own power like him. So, whatever quality he’s outputting is the gold standard of that world. Of course doesn’t mean he’s good to our standard.
Honestly the fakeout of the assassin being a yandere fan is actually hilarious

Tbh true I totally get you on that sometimes I wonder how bro even got an audience, but it is to note that it does kiiiinda made sense like hear me out.

This is like hundreds of years before the time of TV, social media, radio, anything, so it's probably fair that the whole parasocial relationship thing would kick off even if the dude doing it was bland as hell, whadya gonna compare it to? Hell even nowadays some streamers have huge, sometimes almost obsessive fanbases, so imagine that, but condensed into one guy who just randomly introduced it to a society that is defo not ready for it psychologically
Since he's the only form of entertainment of this particular type, he has a monopoly over the viewer ship. One thing to note is that like the real world the vast majority of his followers are regular people that just tune in and listen. But also like the real world there will always be a subset of the followers that take things too far and become obsessed. It just so happens that some of those crazies also occupy positions of power. Think of idols and how crazy some of their fans can get, now apply that to this guy who instead of a country is the ONLY one in the ENTIRE world.

Fair points. Although, breaking the 4th wall here, this is a manga written for people who are already familiar with these sort of standards. I don't think we're supposed to read too deeply into this aspect of the plot considering the entire premise of the manga is a meme anyway. I think the author just isn't particularly good at coming up with engaging topics for streamer-kun to talk about, or just isn't interested in the actual streaming content to begin with. It's more of a vehicle for the yandere plot. Seems like it's less "how can I accurately portray the psychological and parasocial results of streaming?" and more "this is what I think a streamer does, and I'm going to write a fun manga about crazy yandere chicks who want his dick as a result." That said, I agree with OP in that the content he talks about could be better since it's all made up by the author anyway.

Another thing to keep in mind... How long does a typical stream last for? An hour, maybe?

Thing is, that whole spiel about trying to make friends and getting blown off was just the intro. We see this sort of thing even in professional broadcasting - late night TV shows are de rigueur where the first fifteen minutes are basically the host screwing around and making funnies before they get to the main attraction.

Euuh, anyone read the novel and knows if anything interesting/different from this routine happens? Like, for example, do they finally meet him (and actually talk to him about it, not figuring out he's the streamer and start stalking)?

Or is this meant as one of those episodic "comedic"/parody series that maintain status-quo to everything?

Haha, indeed. If the author can regularly come up with interesting topics to “stream” about, he might as well not write this series, but become a streamer himself.

I had kinda hoped that the assassin would refuse, not because they where a fan, but because they knew how batshit crazy his fan base was.
