Exactly what I mean. You know how Cid in EoS makes an effort to NOT stand out in his day-to-day life outside the Garden? Well, it's basically that, but magic. Except, instead of the MC doing it, the goddess is using her magic to make Kanata's existence ambiguous. People will see him, but they won't ask questions and will be like "Who's that peasant boy, and why's he hanging out with the Princess and Saintess? Ah, who cares? Let's do something else."

Also, no, he isn't immortal. Like I said, the goddess will occasionally intervene whenever she wants, but she stays out of things for the most part. Probably because she's playing the long game. The REALLY long game. Like, "YOUR SOUL IS MINE" long game.

And yes, the SoBs do get restored, but not because of, in your words, some concept of sanctity of life bs. It's because he knows that not being universally liked by everyone and how you deal with them is part of life. At the very least, getting rid of someone just because they don't like him and vise versa is unnecessary. Guy's just rolling with the punches as they come. Only reason he had to take action towards the end of the first arc is because they were actively causing issues and spreading misinformation.
