@davremedy Holy crap That's like a 9 yr old frail girl being told to fight Zangief and win! That kid has no choice but need to be protected Or Are you a fan of Goblin Slayer rules and don't like happy endings when then the hero saves the day? lol

So this dude basically traded unique skill for maxed out stats, potentially even limit breaking? That or protection being passive skill and full auto lmao

Sooo short. Well I get the skill [Protection], it means that to protect one is bestowed with the strength so great that any problem or evils will be annihilated.

A note in response to the translator's concerns, as expressed in the translation noteon page 19:

The two raw text fragments do indeed use a Japanese idiom, "to brush away sparks", that means "to take care of threats".

Page 3:
自分にかかった火の粉は自分で払えと… [jibun ni kakatta hinoko wa jibun de harae to...] = You should brush off your own sparks (lit.) = You should fix your own problems.

The translation has "You need to learn to protect yourself", which I think is fine. It carries the same general meaning, and flows better than a more literal translation.

Page 16:
お前を守ったんじゃない [omae o mamotta n ja nai] = I didn't protect you

The translation has "I wasn't protecting you", which is perfect.

俺に降りかかってきた火の粉を振り払っただけだ [ore ni furikakatte kita hinoko o furiharatta dake da] = I was just shaking off sparks that had fallen on me (lit.) = I was just protecting myself

The translation has "I was protecting myself", which is fine.

To sum it up, quality control says: 問題なし.

"Although I did get into a fight, I viciously beat the crap out of that punk."

When? Did I miss a page? I didn't see a single point of damage inflicted by protag.

Is this one of those isekai tropes, where they create imaginated problems where there are none?

Wtf is wrong with her? Try to consider how he feels. Now he’s in a compromised position if his abilities get leaked out...
