Uhmm if a name is a Roman name then how come it's from Greek mythology and not Roman mythology? Greek and Roman mythologies are separated, while in greek the goddess of night is Nyx, in latin it's Nox, there's a difference.
Einherjar? I thought that groupās dead. Guess weāll be seeing a new chapter...next year? 6 months? They dropped so much projects itās like watching a plague hit the town
@Vengeance22 because if anything, the romans sort of ālocalizedā most of the greek pantheon. This is basic knowledge for anyone who has read about roman and greek pantheons and has common sense. Nyx and Nox are usually analogous to each other. Same with Zeus and Jupiter
"huh? have i done anything to make me famous"
YOU JUMPED INTO A STADIUM AND PETTED A DRAGON SOMEONE MISTAKENLY SUMMONED
IN FRONT OF AN AUDIENCE OF OVER 100 PEOPLE WHAT DO YOU MEAN?
@Wolvenworks I know that, but you still don't mix and match the two no? I mean if Romans still existed, hell let's say you talk to an Italian and you tell them that he's actually Greek, wouldn't he be offended? Also there are differences in the two cultures, Roman culture is not strictly greek culture "localised" as you said, but many other cultures mixed together, not on the level of the US mind you, they were smarter a bit and melted the other cultures into Roman culture, not Roman culture into the others...
@Vengeance22 well maybe, but I donāt see any Romans arguing about it. And their deities at this point are similar enough to be made parallels, even with the minor differences (as pointed out on a Rick Riordan series). Iām not saying they are the same, but iām saying that they became similar due to greek fangirling, picking bits of greek deities that suit the romans and moulding them into more roman counterparts
@Vengeance22 The Romans consciously identified their gods with the Greek gods, though. And they thought of Greek mythology as a valid source of information about the gods. It was kind of like the Old Testament for a Christian.
In the case of Nox, we know about specifically Roman hymns and cult practices to her, but the surviving myths are entirely Greek.
