I've read up to chapter 52 (the current one) and I can say: This story is very enjoyable.

The story has an interesting premise and the MC isn't a generic OP character who steamrolls every enemy he meets, instead he has to be crafty and creative to make full use of his peculiar skill and he has to work with his girls to beat the enemies.

MC himself is a genuine good person, he's very considerate of others. He's also very smart, always thinking two or three steps ahead and he can come up with some neat "outside of the box" ideas to defeat enemies thanks to his peculiar skill.

The girls are lovely and each one has their own circumstances and personal development through the story. They're strong and very useful to the point MC has to rely on them to beat his enemies.

The story has a slow start, but from chapter 15 onwards it pick ups the pace and gets even more interesting.
The artstyle gets much better as well, so if you find the art lacking on ealier chapters, don't worry the later chapters gets prettier.

In the ancient past slavery was a surprisingly functional part of society, especially when citizenship was seen more as a duty rather than a right, but the Japanese don't really seem to see it that way in manga. The girl in this one doesn't have to be a slave. He was nice to her and she has low self-esteem for plot reasons, so she likes him. The slavery thing just forces him to be awkward about their relationship. I guess the reader is supposed to like that mc is not abusing his ownership rights? It just makes their relationship so awkward... 20 years reading manga and i still don't get what they're thinking when they make something like this.

Its not hard the mass majority of japans male population falls into the super beta bitch cowardly loser category who live only to be the bitch boy of whatever company they work for and are s scared of poon they literally accept being perma-virgin life rejects before they even hit 18yrs old. This is a twisted BDSM-ish story where women just absolutely LOVE to sell themselves into eternal slavery for very little reason. If you know what a healthy relationship with someone looks like, it's uncomfortable to read.

Moreover, the author seems to have a basic problem with storytelling. The layouts are confusing and it's often difficult to tell who is speaking. You might be able to muddle through but it's hard to find the motivation because THE STORY IS EXCRUCIATINGLY BORING. The bland characters do nothing but fawn over the MC and a good 1/4 of all the pages are dedicated to these long (but still somehow vague) explanations of how skills work.

It's fucking awful.
