She teleported right into his pants. She surely couldn't have teleported very far. He had only JUST left.
The reference is about Sha Wujing/Sa Gojou from the Journey to the West, but "prince" is referring to Arowana. That sentence is just a bit awkwardly phrased.Who's the prince on Page 17 being referenced who uses the staff/like sumo/eats pickles supposed to be a reference to?
Got it, thanks. Yeah, I know the connection between kappa + cucumbers, but since he mentioned the shell as "equipment" and he looks nothing like one, I didn't really draw any connection there (and because of the phrasing making it sound like the character was also a prince). Don't really see anyone from Journey to the West referenced very often except Sun Wukong. The reference is about Sha Wujing/Sa Gojou from the Journey to the West, but "prince" is referring to Arowana. In Japanese adaptation, Sha Wujing is portrayed as a "kappa", a Japanese folklore creature who eats cucumber and has a tortoise shell on its back. What our guy was saying was basically: "Because the things Prince Arowana likes gives me kappa vibes, it made me think of Sa Gojou, so I made him Gojou's iconic crescent blade".
Plus "Hakkai" is the name of the pig in Journey to the West (Zhu Bajie/Cho Hakkai).
Yeah, and also it didn't help that the image of Sa Gojou didn't seem to be drawn to have a shell on his back either (but maybe we just can't see it because of the angle). It's a rather roundabout logic, but that crescent blade is really iconic so I guess the author didn't feel the need to elaborate.Got it, thanks. I mean, I know a certain O-word dude from a certain H-word game that cheated the universe just to give his beloved saintess a chance at least to live in her wayAnd this is the true meaning of the cheesy line, "Love conquers all."
When properly motivated, a person in love will break the boundaries of common sense to reach beyond the ends of the earth.
