the story isn't over but the bad ending is the shit route they took that completely killed the series for me

MC fucked up and the mine that he's been using his slaves to harvest idk if it was crystals or w.e to be FILTHY rich is apparently SUPER ILLEGAL to the point that if royalty finds out its the death penalty just like what they did to the last people that tried to get it and the reason being is that royalty has a monopoly on crystals or w.e but the STUPID PART is this RULE isn't KNOWN, they don't WANT people to know that you can get crystals from else where so it wasn't MC's fault at all BUT the WORST PART IS that his wife is ACTUALLY A FUCKING SPY, she's been working with royal? or w.e to keep MC in check and while yes she does love MC and has children with MC the marriage thing was also a plot to tie MC so he wouldn't be able to move aka run away to another country while also keeping watch on him so when MC shows the wife the mine she starts freaking out and tells MC that he can 100% die if royalty finds out and basically she snitches on MC because it was either she does nothing and eventually royalty finds out and everyone dies OR she tries to find high up military people(those MC saved) to find a way to soften the blow so he doesn't get the death penalty so basically around where I dropped it was when MC gets captured. Shit is so bad that the slaves find out that his wife betrayed him that the red head lizard girl tries to kill the wife but the black hair lizard girl stops her from attacking the wife because they know there's no point and that it would make MC sad/they need to figure out how to save MC instead

so yea that's where I dropped the series and how someone who was best wife turned out to be trash tier

When I think about it, the wife still loves MC and is actually smart in the way she's trying to help him, it just sucks that this whole thing is the outcome, but yea I think the arc is one of those final arc in which wife gets to see how many people MC has helped and who now loves him aka its MC's bond with people and how thx to him helping them they in turn will help him now

Did you skip the proofreader for this chapter? Don't take this wrong, it was still easily readable, but the grammar was worse than previous chapters. Especially when it comes to plurals and subject/verb agreement.

They don't want anyone learning about the mines or w.e hence if no one but the royals know how to get this power source then there is no competition but the problem occurs when someone accidentally does it not knowing its illegal because only higher up people know it aka MC......also they are trying to sentence MC to death row? or prison for "Treason" against the kingdom/royals so having a private army Probably doesn't look good in their eyes when it comes to judgement time, Hence why the wife is trying to get everyone MC has helped slaves, military ill people surgery etc to get enough signatures to free MC, I think it was like a ridiculous amount but it seems to be working so yea pretty much your typical peaceful rebellion atm, no idea if its going to turn into a war again after the kingdom already had a war in the past?
