The head chopping scene bothers me. No, not executing a criminal. I'm bothered the MC isn't bothered. "Oh, I'm totally okay with you cutting off one of my few ways of getting back home, I'm sure you had your reasons".

Enough of these Selfless Altruistic Analogies. Have a FUCKING reaction besides god damn friendship, it should piss a character off even more that an ally screwed them over instead of a blatant enemy.

@Phelix, mc was definitely bothered, he even said so himself (though maybe not that clearly). he seems to be the type of person who doesn't show emotion unnecessarily, and would rationalize before reacting. there's no point in getting angry when the dude's already dead. why waste that energy if it won't change anything. and the girl knight reflected on her actions, found that she didn't really do right, so no point yelling at her either.

i rather like this kind of mc, he makes more sense to me than the emotionally unstable ones you'd usually see. though according to my observations, most people seem to like those who show feelings more, so i won't hold not liking him against anyone.

@gadnihasj Saying So is different then Acting So. Getting angry isn't just a choice you make from flipping a coin and picking heads or tails, it's a mark of your character and who you are. He doesn't have to be dramatic, but he doesn't have to immediately forgive and not hold her accountable-which is what he does. And just because the knight chewed herself out doesn't pardon her for doing it, count as actual punishment, compensate the MC, nor is some gurantee she won't do it again-it just gives the writer a weak out to let her off easy. If someone ruined my ability to return home, telling me that they're sorry isn't going to do anything for me even if they mean it. So unless that self reflection ends either with some form of compensation or prevents this blunder from happening again, then it's worthless unless I'm the one to pick the punishment. Justice is for me to decide and the energy spent to get it isn't wasted so long as I'm satisfied.

I don't. To me this is just the author's way of checking off a list of common tropes to point at and call progression, instead of actually writing a compelling character for readers to experience. Lacking an emotion during an important moment isn't something that makes sense, quite the opposite, it's something that makes you inhumane. And worst of all, this is just because the author didn't want to have the Knight be held in a negative light which is more than justified. "Oh look, she said she's really sorry, don't be mad at her guys".

@Phelix I quite that lacking emotion during important moments doesn't make a lot of sense, but have you ever considered that different people regard different moments as important? I'm one of those people whom you describe as "inhumane" according to your own standards. I have shrugged at rather serious things that would infuriate most other people. The mc's character is very believable to me, and much easier to identify with than most. Makes me a little interested in what the author's personality is like.

@gadnihasj Then so be it that this is to your personal liking. But it isn't to me as I have no trust in this being the Author's planning for a character and find it to be more of a charachature. Especially with the things he does choose to show emotion over and how.

@Phelix I'm currently considering whether or not to feel hurt that my own personality type is regarded more of a caricature than a realistic character. I arguably only know the manga as of yet, but it's all too in line with how I'd act or react. But it's ok. I'll allow you to doubt that this kind of person would actually exist in reality. I know that most people wouldn't believe it. Even my own parents don't believe the evidence that's right in front of them, so I can't really blame you for it.

@gadnihasj Even if you could point me out someone that acted this way, I'd still call them weird or false. If you're angry-legitimately mad, not just borrowing the word to fit in-you'd at least not brush it off as if it didn't bother you. Even if it were only internal and your outward appearance the opposite. You can choose how to deal with your emotions, but the question is whether or not you had them in the first place. And if it's that easy for you to toss them away, then I doubt their legitimacy unless you're bipolar.

@Phelix To me it seemed like the MC was disappointed, not angry. She did what they came there to do and MC learned the most vital parts to start piecing things together. Also his goal isn't specifically going back to earth, it's "living a peaceful life", I'd wager that curiosity is the bigger driving force.

Though her actual reason for killing him was kind of dumb.

The author is leaning in on the whole concept of "only certain personality types can think in this way" and how the MC has ambiguous morals easily influenced by his surroundings. He's not entirely wrong in regards to the personalities thing, but it's painted in such a simplistic, black and white manner.

We'll probably find out that he was actually "revived" into this world, rather than summoned, then something something evil demon lords, and oh no MC you were the demons all this time.

Okay, not bad for a conclusion but adding a concept where Earth is known in the earlier chapters just feels wrong; also adding the fact that Earth people actually created these taboos are really just stretching it too far.
