I was going to blame the knights for not following the villains, but since the villains can fly, while the knights can't, I guess it couldn't be helped. Although I believe it's a poor decision from the author to make these psychos able to fly. They already were powerful enough as it was, so why add that on top of it? There wasn't even any precedent to such a power in the story. Maybe it's a demonic artifact that allows it and they were all given one by Laheit, so it's not exactly their own power.

I would say no about the psychopath thing, sociopath also doesn't match him. The label I think best fits him is empath.
Psychopaths are unable to understand the difference between right and wrong.
Sociopaths can understand the difference but don't have a conscience, or have a weak one.
Empaths are people who have a large amount of empathy to the point that they are effected by the emotions and personality of those around them.

Correct answer is all of the above.
He switches from state of minds and match his target. Becoming a psychopath or sociopath.

That's just one way he uses his ability to comprehend people.

Yeah that is kinda the effect being an empath has. An empath is like a mirror to the point that someone else's anger or emotions overpower their own. They tend to have their own personality, but that gets overshadowed when dealing with others, especially those who have strong personalities.

At the beginning I though the author was lazy, because he omitted the MC's backstory, but...

The MC:

• Does not condemn violence.
  • He is simply too weak in this word to participate in any violent act.
• Swings from good to evil (and back) with ease.
• Consciously hides his expression(s). Especially from Illyas.
  • His own expressions seem to be... Emotionless.
• Is a calculating bastard is such a degree, that he consciously "comprehend" the way how others think.
• Can mimic others.

There are plenty of psychopaths in the world that don't end up as murderers. Essentially they just need to find something that they get a kick out of. For most Psychopaths it is oddly enough either baking or business.
