I said it early on, to a surprising amount of backlash. His morality is odd and inconsistent. He seems to semi care about humans, and his students, but he clearly doesn't see other races as equals, it doesn't seem to be connected to if they are friendly to him or not. As even the other race girls who are on his side, he seems to see as disposable.
The big thing that's hard to explain, what is his motive, the source of his hatred. He comes from our world, a human supremacist mindset would require racist based logic, it requires a history of disdain or hatred. But he can't have cultivated that history in our world. So it would have to be just based on first interactions, but then that only explains his dislike of races like the cats who as a united race harmed him. But he seems to hate all the other races. But whats the source of that hatred as that doesn't track.

So the alternative, is he just doing what he wants now that he has a opportunity, he just a sociopath only caring about self interest. This mostly would track and his care of his students could be because they are "his students". And if this is the case the whole defending humanity part could be just self satisfaction or excuses. The problem is if this is the case he should arguably show some of that care to those who side with him from the start, that are useful to him. But his students are not really useful to him and are actually more a thorn in his side, yet he shows forgiveness to them when they outright sabotage him. If his care was based on them being his, he should care just as much for the dragon wife, and the ants that sided with him.
Yet they are clearly less cared about than the students, that doesn't make sense as that means he actually cares about the students. And defends them selflessly. That wouldn't track with him being a sociopath.
He has no problem harming those who had no ill will towards him, even planning to harm races lead by those who are on his side and where kind to him.
So what is his values? He is not driven by cold logic, he lacks empathy so is not doing this based on emotion. So that leaves desire, but then the students should have been his first target.

That's the thing, This story clearly doesn't want us to know why he's actively like this. They want to keep the "mystery" of why he's essentially a criminal pretending to be an upstanding citizen. It's like no matter who he's with his sense of trust and faith is always lacking. I don't think the author will cook up something impressive to explain why but I'd like to think he's always hated those with power as even the lesser cats he'll just screw with for fun. Tbh I'd love if this series turned into death note and had the male student become L in some shape or size to take down his teacher who he's been aware is practically unhinged even if his means, could eventually give them a chance to go back.
But i'll be real, I doubt any of that

You're not wrong about the plot of this story, but America did commit to obliterating major cities in Japan till they surrendered. So while China and Russia didn't drop any nuclear bombs, what you're describing did kinda happen.
