Don't get the end. Does he or she have the appraisal skill? If it's her then is she hesitant to point out his selection sense is off? If him then is she silent due to knowing he's using appraisal skill to select things rather than his talent as a chef?

On the second page top left you can see him using his appraisal skill instead of his cooking sense or at least that’s what I think.

The only way the whole thing makes sense is if she doesn't know about the appraisal skill.

On the second page he uses the skill and she get freaked out because she doesn't know why he identified a specific bag of four as "looking good". She starts talking to him like he's having a stroke.

On the third page she's irritated because it seems like he's just full of bs.
