I'd like to introduce you to Fate/Stay Night and Mahoutsukai no Yoru, where it is expected for a high school girl to manage the supernatural side of a town (nearly) by herself because mages are a**holes. And, given that this manga gives major Type Moon vibes, I think this may apply here too.
