I do believe a sense of dread might catch on more quickly than people think. You have to consider that everything he does is meaningless

I don't get why he thinks it's a curse. Just train with a sword for xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx years and become SSS rank.
Regardless of if he can keep the skill or not, if your live loop back to this day anyway and you can't really go anywhere far; I can see that the skill will feel like a waste. Unless he's a sword fanatic, he'd find no purpose in trying to master it if he can't go use it anywhere nor brag to anyone who will remember it tomorrow
And actually, if we put the logic to a broader perspective, I'd conclude it to be: people will try to do something they enjoy until they feel like they exhaust everything they can do with it, and after that it starts to sink in they don't have anything to do anymore, life won't go anywhere, and despair.
...which is what we see happened, actually; the guy enjoys sex, so he just does it till he feels like there's nothing he can do with it anymore, realize his life will just stuck like this, and despair

I mean how many times did he already do it by now to not only cover all the prostitutes but also do it with them in various formations and combinations.
Plus, he probably went to other brothel as well, and might have had sex with other non-prostitutes as well.
Problem is that there is no sense of attachment.
He had sex with many women and possibly might have repeated some many times as well.
But it's kind-off emotional burden as well, because as you have sex with same partner multiple times, even if they are prostitutes you become somewhat emotionally attached to them, but they don't remember you at the end of the day.

Well in his defence, the first time MC met her, she immediately went for his throat.
And the second time MC managed to somehow avoid getting on her nerves.
After that he actively kept avoiding her because he didn't want trouble (the brothel tour part only came up after a few reset after he last met her).
Even if he saw that floating star, it doesn't mean much unless you are an Isekai'ed person and know Game Quest Marker System.
And he only recalled about it because he managed to meet her just before taking his own life and resetting again.

MC had a one track mind, wanted seggs. Got the seggs. Had nothing else to aspire to in life.
Did not want to be horny anymore, just wanted happiness.
Problem is, he has no real clue what that is, and once he achieved all of the seggs, had no clue what else to do. So resorted straight to mind break and jumping off a building...

At least get past the part where you've explored more of the city, learned more about the lives of the people in the city, learned how to speedrun befriending people, learned multiple skills, school of education, stories and whatnot. And then after you've achieved proficiency in multiple fields that would take lifetimes to master, then move on to going brain break.
But I guess this is mostly just to emphasize the willpower this MC has, which isn't very high. His spirit is made of tofu.
