I don't know what she was talking about with the bread. Even risen bread is older than the middle ages.

Maybe she's confused because the Japanese didn't have it until the Portuguese brought it in the 16th century?

I think she means that The Other World doesn't have the same infrastructure Japan/Modern World had when they developed some kind of mass production (didn't go thru industrial revolution, etc).

Meaning that some Other World People were taught (like Hans in Nobu) Modern World techniques from the stores that opened in Other World.

Of course that's just what I can understand????? Very confusing lol!

Nobu had no issue exchanging the isekai money to yen, I wonder why there are problems here.

Was the original word here just "パン / pan" and not a more specific term? The illustrations convey the intended point clearly enough (rustic boules vs. rectangular loaf pans), so I wonder if there's some linguistic nuance here?
