OMG That's how you eat Chinese fried bread?!

My parents dropped off a bag of the stuff and I was wondering why it was so tasteless.

Ended up just chopping and frying it with honey and chili oil for tv snacks.
It is meant to dip in broth. It is delicious if you shredded it to pieces and dropped it in the broth or rice porridge, too.

As a Vietnamese, I don't understand why foreigners pair springrolls with Pho. No one does that in Vietnam. The misconception was spread everywhere. Don't expect authentic Pho places to have springrolls. Actually, Vietnamese don't often eat springrolls. It is a banquet dish that is eaten when there is a special occasion like birthday, wedding, etc. We have plenty more dishes that are better than springrolls.
Pho is the best when pairs with a cold iced tea. It washes of the grease and refreshes your palate.

I like Phở pork more because that was the version I was raise eating but it's usually the Chinese minority making it and other Vietnamese usually don't know or maybe like it,that version is much more rare to come by, it more similar to the chicken version with cleaner looking broth and make with (presumably) pork and vegetable stock maybe soybean too, still have grease but make ya full and goes down a lot easier
Also why they are eating so much food ??? And it's very heavy food too, bread, noodle soup, fried stuff, beer as well ! Lots of bánh mì! Like those are suppose give you a lot of energy, they are not milk bread, they are small baguette
