Also it’s quite funny that the deacon hasn’t given up trying to cook the fish he first initially brought in ch. 97. Now I want to see them finally have a proper dish out of it, perhaps like a sub-arc.

that fiction fresh water fish liver. but (normal) catfish liver too small. while popular fish liver dish use monkfish, a sea water fish. it does have head-body shape similar to giant catfish.

If anything it makes sense that Ludwig the elder would have the God's tongue. It may seem kinda cheap that so many people in this story have it but honestly Patricia having it is the true anomaly. Shinobu and Ludwig are both from traditional long standing inns/restaurants, but Patricia I don't think has that kind of backing. I'd have to double check what her backstory is but I don't think it was anything like that.
