Nah it's understandable that the dude's traumatized. It's probably something like what soldiers go through since even though the logical part of his brain says that he's doing what has to be done, he can't deny that he's killing or ending people with his own hands. He'd have to be a monster to not be affected by it, especially in down times when he isn't actively fighting for survival.
