To be fair, he is in modern world with the police and laws in stuff, not some random fantasy world no more. So there is lots of possibility in terms of social image destruction and whatnot if need be (esp since other dude is famous), as well as rules to follow if he wants to live there properly (something something isekai timeskip means life experience lost so protags would still want to at least partially be able to live that school life he missed out on).

Granted, this also poses the question of how other dude expects to get away with killing/harming protags after they were in the newspaper and also have connections (also to the newspaper company) without being affected himself, so the story really messes up in deciding when modern sensibilities make sense or not.

If we wanna rational more: he def pinned some familiars on the dude so he can react if he ever tries something to his family or smt so there's probably not much risk in letting him go since he also has the video evidence and all to leave it to the police and media (since killing famous person is problematic in the position he's in, and could become a problem later on if he doesn't do it "properly")

This of course can be proven wrong if protag somehow doesn't react to the dragon appearing, because he's supposed to be sensitive to this stuff as well lol.

I don't doubt this and overall think you are right, but I don't think the MC did enough to actually show that he shouldn't be fucked with. He tanked their attacks and summoned monsters that stood around menacingly but also didn't do much aside from free hostages and giving someone a facehug. He could have knocked them out, thrown them around, even broken a henchmen's limb or two to show that he has to strength to back up his claims. Cause the rule of intimidation you have to be able to do what you threaten or its not a threat.

The second part of this is also because the threat he made was based on the monsters that was summoned, does the villain know that the MC is that strong and can summon/make monsters outside the dungeon? I don't think so, cause the villiain there purposefully made a magic zone outside the dungeon to flex. Therefore his threat would (to a normal person) be utterly ineffective in the real world.

He has strength away from the portal in that he has a bunch of henchmen under him which make regular people who are alone possible targets, so he's not completely weak. But yea, I was more arguing on why he didn't kill them or something. He def could've been much smarter with his intimidation tactics, but japanese webtoons moment.

... I don't understand why mc didn't just walk away and call the cops. "High schooler" never had any leverage. He can't move from his current location (at least, not while having any effectiveness whatsoever). His hostages don't even matter (seriously, what is he even threatening? "If you call the police I'll take it out on... My own people? The bullies that were tormenting you?"). And... He won't even know that law enforcement was called in until he's surrounded and being assaulted by them.

and why would you think the police would do anything about them? The troupe for power abusive bullies like him is to pressure the police to not touch them. They wouldnt have done shit and be completely useless. Even moreso if they were just regular policemen and had no skills/abilities.

I'm giving this like 5 more chapters, it's just so boring.
Nothing happens, the characters are all flat, the drama is overdone, even the concept is just a post isekai mashed with Solo Leveling but this doesn't even have that going for it. It's not solo, nor is there leveling. It's just "big strong man gets girl who is also big and strong" with very little else to it

It is because they are so sure you don't own a gun. This is why we are shown magic instead of AK-47s in comics.
