Maybe there‘s some aspect of this where the author secretly respects oppressive, outspoken egoists and wishes he was one. He has to self insert later on though so he could never see himself fully being one. It’s so weird that a one dimensional will get all this time and focus but the MC and FMC are still planks of wood.
