wtf, its even worse than i thought. This is starting to sound like that other manga where the dude doesn't care about losing heroines.

Everything could have been prevented childhood friend and her mother could have been his new family if he just told them he is fucking strong. I really hate stupid MC's like this guy, he hides his powers then proceed to make some people strong but leave out the only people he was close with well except for a few but he did, I Like that other manga with the mc having 1000+ level or something at least that guy isn't as much of an asshole or emotionless as the mc on this one.

Is it the one where the MC is taken to another world to fight and save the other world in order to get back (and stayed for seven years), doing nothing but basically cannibalizing his own body because he hated everything about the other world, only to come back and find out that there was a hidden world beneath his own? And when he comes back, it's to the point in time where his so-called "best friend" was trying to hit on (and actually did get, but only because he saw the MC was interested in the girl), which was the exact point in time he left?

Because that whole story just served to make the side characters that MC knew and grew up with as absolute villains, but he doesn't care anything about them. Not to mention that the "best friend" had some sort of charm ability mistakenly given to him instead of his twin brother where apparently everyone but those actually close to the MC wasn't immune to it.

Edit 2: If those of you reading this manga come across this comment (and you like said manga and others like it), more power to you. Personally, I like my characters to have more depth than literal stepping stools to make the MC look better, like the ones in Inu to Yuusha wa Kazaranai.

I hate stories that do this and retcon the people that the protagonists used to know as trash people. I don't believe that she would have turned out like that had he not hid what happened.

What I believe with authors that do this to their side characters is that their actual childhood friends slighted them by moving on.

The manga is actually good, it's a good read, but I think what really pissed me off

was our MC's childhood friend. At first, she was just a bit strange, but then, when this guy started talking to her and suddenly she just abandoned MC as if he suddenly ceased to exist for her, as if she had never had a childhood friend in her life. She even stopped visiting him to check on him because he had recently lost his parents and was completely alone. It was so easy for her to just abandon him so officially when this guy told her to stop hanging out with him and she listened to him, it really pissed me off, but what really pissed me off was when she suddenly came to him and said "long time no see" as if it had never happened. The guy who was so wonderful turned out to be an asshole who cheated on her, and suddenly our MC started to exist for her. It was truly total hypocrisy on her part, no apologies or anything. It also pissed me off a bit when MC simply accepted her and took her in without any, but as if he had forgotten that she simply she cut him out of her life

Another spoiler: if u remember reading it when he was level draining the lower class, I believed he said the adventure thingy caused people to change. That's what happened to his childhood friend; her family was scamming mfs. I don't know if it's different from the manga or whatnot but yeah, after that, she was saying the mc was her husband and she was pregnant with her baby. She then went into a dungeon herself to try to say she was stronger than the MC but died and her soul turned into something bad and yeah, that's it for her
