Generally I like harems that doesnt only see itself as a waifu checklist/mere drama for main ship, so all parties involved has to be aware/acknowledge the romance. Each harem member must also have a decently developed and unique relationship with the MC. Lastly, the author should resolve the inherent jealousy caused by lovestruck peple living together.

Which results in this very short list:
1. Reborn as Space Mercenary
2. Reborn as A Barrier Master
3. Quintessential Quintuplets, if you reject the ending as canon.

Isekai Nonbiri Nouka almost made this list, but they started introducing nameless elves, maids, and elves into Hiraku's harem.

Alas, I already follow these.

I tried watching the anime for the third one, but it wasn't quite doing it for me. I'm pretty old skool, coming in from days of Tenchi Muyo. I was also one of the few fans that didn't flip the table when the original creator's solution to the who-is-he-gonna-marry conundrum (The Tenchi Solution) became a thing.

Seriously, declaring the original content creator's work to be discontinuity and accepting only the derivative, non-canonical works*, just because you don't like harems - especially when it was obvious to even a five year old that this is where the story was going - just strikes me as idiotic.

* (Each freakin' show and manga where the story isn't authored by Masaki Kajishima is it's own goddamned cannon. Including the movies!)

Though I supposed that every kid on here that drops a series just because it suddenly became a harem (even though it had the "Harem" tag from the get-go) are probably the children of these guys.

Also, I reject Quintuplet's ending as canon exactly because it stops being a harem. Not that this means I want to spit on the author's grave, on the contrary this is me complimenting the author on how well he sold me on the idea of it being a harem story.

I looked up the artist Uyama Hajime and they have a twitter account @HAJIME_UYM

They started up again with Chingochou Futsuryoukyoku Ukeika.
