Although for the sake of his modern mentality, if he wanted to wait a couple of years for her to grow up more, it would be understandable. She wouldn't necessarily fully understand as I believe by that ancient world's standards she would be at a perfectly marriageable age already, but no doubt she would be patient if she knew it's only a matter of time.

I'm confused, isn't she 12? I remember she was younger than the other children. Kinda early to go on the all out offensive, but I guess it works for the time period.
Also the gryphon already stated that he wouldn't interfere after three years. Which has already passed. So it's not surprising that he doesn't run there immediately.

Tetra's 10 at the beginning, and it's 1 year (and some change) after the griffon's support has ended, so she's probably 14/15 at this point in the story.

That king has to be really weak if some of his soldiers doesn't even carry shoulderpads, arm protection and helmets. Helmets is one of the most important parts of a soldiers armour. One arrow into the head will end your life. A arrow into the leg or arm won't kill you instantly. Honestly, looked like a ragtag army to me lol

Although it's not as amazing as the manga, the novel exists. The webnovel is complete at 305 chapters with the last chapter 115 having been translated on 10/22/18.
If you want to continue off from ch 20.1 to the webnovel, go to chapter 23 of the webnovel. I personally haven't read chapters 1-22 so I can't tell you the differences between the two versions, but it seems fairly similar so far.
Edit: Nevermind, I think the novel is better than the manga. I'm just reading chapter 23 and I already see a lot of missing details not pointed out in the manga.

This is so f'in dumb... Why would they need to defend themselves? They should just say they belong to Rosice and attacking them would be a declaration of war. They're paying taxes after all. They should be under his protection. The ferme king invading 'his' territory should be a great offense.

It's not like there's a telephone he can use to call for backup. Also the only one the king knows well enough to have an audience is Almus. Since Almus is currently the one discussing with Ferme it is better for him to make it out of these discussions alive so that he can go to the King and request assistance. Which is what he's doing right now. It's not like he can say "Do you mind waiting here for a bit while we discuss this matter? Two or three days should be good". The threat is immediate and riding out to Rosice, convincing the king to assist him, then bringing troops back requires time he doesn't have. Also doing it immediately after finding out about the problem was a no go as well. For one thing he didn't know how many people were coming to chase after the missing villagers, so he didn't know how much support he would need to request.
Remember Roisce doesn't have a standing military. Whenever action needs to be taken they need to make a request of each powerful family. The king could send his own guards, but only to an extent. That's all part of the sub plot where Almus tries to convince the king to centralize power to prevent a strong family (or strong individual in the case of King Ferme killing the Ash family) from taking over the region.

King Ferme is already planning on attacking King Roice´s kingdom to begin with...that´s pointiless...(actually, if he had said it at the moment things would have gotten way worse)

Yes. I get it would take a while for the king to arrive. but just the threat of war should hold him off. They should at least mention it. But according to midnight, he was planning on declaring war anyway, so it wouldn't have worked. But seriously, 70% is way too steep. They won't survive the winter like that. I hope he dies in a fire.

everytime the King Ferme Kingdom needs more food he attacks the other nation(Roisce)...
