Bruh, what did you expect? You are consulting an animal, creatures that don't abide by morals...

Dieble tried to let people of the country die during the previous war to get himself into a more adventitious political position. Long-term letting him be king will only cause greater suffering, even if it becomes a more bloodless suffering (letting people starve as one possible example) as he'd make use of his power to whatever ends he could. He also already knows that Almus and co. are a threat so he'd probably try throwing them out to a bunch of different wars to weaken them against his enemies while expanding his influence to prevent Almus and co. starting their own civil war, because he would start a civil war if the roles were reversed so he'd of course assume that Almus plans to.

I get feeling guilty about playing an active role on a path that leads down to the potential loss of life, but Dieble is clearly going to cause more problems the longer you leave him alone, and if he gets to be king? Then he'll be able to cause far more problems then than he is now.

The griffin isn't really wrong though, no matter what choice the MC makes do you guys seriously think both him being king or the other guy won't lead to a lot of internal conflicts and casualties ? Dieble guy would probably cause a war with another country which would make even more people lose their lives.

God advice sounds extremely Nietzschean. 😅😂🤣

Yeah, please don't turn into a genocidal tyrant, kiddo!

I’ll have to try this logic with the American Justice system.

Yeah, bugger off with your Übermensch stuff Mr Griffon.

There has been some decidedly dodgy political history and political philosophy in this manga.

It seems obvious that an animal would view things in terms of "survival of the fittest". Further, it's obvious that this is a medieval society where persecution of dissedents is one of the standard tools of statecraft. Most likely a necessity in such a time period and culture, as much as we modern people would like to look down our noses at them. Remember, you can give a nation a constitution, but unless the culture and the people will enforce it, then it's just a piece of paper. He has to work within the cultural framework that exists at this time.

I have yet to wait for a nation that would be stopped from waging a war by a constitution.

Ah, philological decisions. Only way to be wrong is not thinking. Glad MC did.

Unfortunately, some readers who'd done it didn’t show it.

Seeing as the Griffon is the closest thing he has to a parent, I'm glad that he still gives good advice... even if it is a little skewed XD

Imagine Pa Kent teaching Superman this shit.

Griffon "Scarface" Montana: "the world is yours."

This is probably what Luthor's dad taught him and why Luthor doesn't trust Superman.

@gusto It didn't help the country that actually did it, you know. It only put it into a far more precarious position

@maxman14 You're saying as if humans aren't animals. And the main reason for death sentences is actually cutting costs. In fact, most of the "humane" positions on a lot of things, from farming to punishments, are actually a luxury of the first world. Humans only do that because the actual fighting is far away from them and their spoiled and naive position allows them to sympathize with all kinds of enemies who would kill them without a thought if they could. Both enemies and food that lives and dies for the sake of accumulating the nutrients and no level of humane treatment won't change that. It's just a luxury for the sake of people who miss the whole point because they are too removed from reality.

@Lightbrand Yeah, what the Griffon says sounds cool and sage-like but it only works because the MC has a sense of morality to begin with. Imagine if this was Jeffery Dahmer trying to decide what to fix for dinner.
