Considering the international trend and how every country is trying to force Japan to follow, i would say that censorship in Manga, Anime & LN illustration are probably going to get worse, especially with increased foreign workforce in Japan.

Just see the recent issue with Dragon Quest III Remake controversy. Even the original creator and editor related to the series commented on how stupid the censorship was during a live stream interview, and instead of accepting Square Enix hurriedly took out that segment from the interview, because some people from abroad were angry at the creators comments regarding the censorship.

This fight with not enough censorship by the minority is kinda funny, seeing how they put a lot of fanservice and actual sex scenes in some if not most movies and non-animated series. Far more than older shows, and I don't see them fighting that back. At some point majority should just fight back with wallets, just freaking stop buying shit thats censored to much, or which quality dropped cause of DEI/Woke agendas.
