I am not sure if I ever have seen a story of this type before where the "evil" faction's plan of attack actually involved deploying all of the demon lord's crazy powerful generals at the front lines from a very early point in the battle onward
They really only waited until they had baited out humanity's trump cards before sending them out there to ensure a decisive victory

It's not a particularly sophisticated strategy, but it is an actual strategy, and arguably if Same didn't exist it would have been all that was needed in terms of complexity

Nice to actually see competent villains every once in a while
