Her pursuit of this ideal figure has led to her completely destroying her own ego. Haruna doesn't have any wants or even much thought as a person, she has pretty much turned herself into a smile-protecting robot.

As much as I definitely don't trust this demon king guy, I still think her going along with killing the brave is a good idea. He isn't a "good" person, he is a mass murderer who cares nothing for anything but killing his enemies. Probably need to eliminate both and that will be how they can get home

... You know, it's kind of jarring just how Shuri treats Haruna's behavior as "normal" and just blows it off. The only one to notice something is wrong with our heroine is Emi.

Like, Haruna is batshit crazy. "That's what a Magical Girl would do" isn't a catchphrase, it's an obsession. Her pursuit of this ideal figure has led to her completely destroying her own ego. Haruna doesn't have any wants or even much thought as a person, she has pretty much turned herself into a smile-protecting robot.

And Shuri is looking at her friend with just a "that's so you."
both of them are

Really good chapter, especially the ending. Honestly looking foward to how Haruna will act next chapter, because we never really see her composure break

I mean you are right in saying that he is not a good person, but it's easy to forget that he had his life destroyed by the demons and another magical girl. Might be Shuri or even the other one.
Although Shuri herself was constantly screwed over by humanity in this world first despite her best efforts to help them, so the situation isn't as black and white as it seems.

That said, I think taking him out is a good move, because he is the only one on the other side who actually poses a threat to the magical girls. The rest of them are only annoyances and even has a chance to be a threat because the girls are always holding back.

Was waiting for something like that to happen from the moment she beat her, and ngl it's starting to go a bit stale that it always goes to shit like this
