or if it shows potential for him to grow out of that immaturity.
Instead this manga seems to think that's it's winning personality, along with a text-book intellectual narcissist attitude that makes it look like the manga adaptation of /r/iamverysmart.

Even the Healer Boi is the same as this guy and everyone loves him (although he has a revenge plot because backstory). If you want a justification as to why this guy is evil... well he got kidnapped, he was being treated as an idiot and the ones who kidnapped him tried to brainwash him. This dude's a researcher, a very crooked one, but a researcher.
