Makes you super horny all the time. It will create distractions even when you dont want them (eg. middle of battle).

pretty sure they forget about the sex maniac job after a few chapters. it's worthless.

what i never understood with his interaction with sheri is why he never explains his skill. he tells her enough secrets as it is.
he doesn't explain the job change thing, he doesn't explain the blacksmith thing, he doesn't explain the slots thing to sheri (we get all the useless exposition though through his thought process). it's so frustrating. and roxanne just blindly says yep, cuz master is awesome.

The parts with Sheri not believing the 'all jobs have level' bit, even though its pretty provable. Same with the "some items have open slots, and I can see them. Everything without an open slot will fail". It was just an odd stupidity of both of them that didn't need to be there.

The manga is based on the LN, but the LN translation is currently only at the point of Michiro unlocking the mage job so we have no added info we don't have here. We'll have to see how it goes, I guess.

Slave Harem never had smart characters in it, is a healing story with little mind put into it, the same routine repeating for tens of chapters is normal, I'm talking from the Web Novel experience, I believe the Light Novel changed things as it would be hard to keep paying customers with the original plot.
MC never was much bright, only had a few moments, he is so dumb that a skill that have everything worte in the title confuses him.
Abstinance Strike is exactly what it says on the can, don't fuck your harem and you will critical attack, of course is useless to him.
The manga is better than the WN because it doesn't repeat stuff, it just passes from one thing to other when explaining, and have a good art style.

Damn it would be nice to see how volume 10 will turn out. In my opinion its around there that the wn started going down hill and this is considering quite a low bar.

The 2 major reasons: the mc starts showing how much of a coward he is(now I can accept if someone is a coward cause its a personality trait and usually has a reason but he doesn't have any reason for what he does) and Vesta and Rutina only got half a personality

So far the writing is a lot "cleaner and tighter" than the WN version, as best I can put it. No big changes yet but on the other hand it's been so many years since I read the WN version that I probably wouldn't remember if a change was big or not, or if it even was a change.

It gets forgotten pretty fast as you said, but its not really a bad skill...
Sure it's not that great for the MC, but it could be for other people who don't have cheat skills.

I could ofc be remembering all of this wrong, as I read the novel like 5+ years ago...

IIRC he joined some secret gentlemen club for sex maniacs where it was explained to him that it grows in power the longer you avoid having sex.
If the MC would actually stop having sex it would eventually become a good skill as it supposedly gets really strong over time and doesn't require experience to grow stronger.

Because its power growth is time-based and not experience-based it's not a great skill for him, but it would be for normal people.
A normal person who got the job would be able to become super strong by doing basically nothing as long as they avoided sex.
The other club members were supposedly all somewhat powerful because a lot of them avoided sex for months only to have regular orgies or something.
But because of the conditions of getting the job in the first place and the secrecy about the job, such people are rare. ( outside of the sex requirement, it was also a human only job I think? )

The abstinence skill may be lame and useless for him given the hotness around him lol but I don't think the sex maniac Job overall will that useless later.
Who knows, maybe he will unlock a skill that's the opposite where the more he bangs the day before or so, the more powerful his attacks are later lol.
It seems perfectly plausible that the opposite skill should exist if that one does.
