NODDERS this is getting nuts for what used to be an incredible standard for this type of manga. It was basically 8 pages for a month long wait. Granted, the quality of art is still great, but man the pacing has slowed so much. All they did this chapter was walk out of a room and prepare to enter a dungeon.

I used to like this one quite a lot due to the nice character designs and sweet interactions, but as you keep reading it you realise... this shit gets so FUCKING BORING! The dungeons NEVER CHANGE, the character are SO BLAND (not including the girls), unique enemies/monster DON'T EXIST, fight scenes (while well drawn) are still boring AF due to WHAT they're fighting the pace is SO SLOW, (the upload pace as well), and bro BARELY GETS BITCHES (Harem manga btw), like how is this rated an 8.4? Like it tries to focus on every little detail about the world and make it as realistic as possible, but in doing so makes it such a DRAG to read... not to mention then every intermissions are basically just the same sex scenes over and OVER AGAIN!

But yea, these are my thoughts on this now...

nod I understand and to a certain extent I agree. However, in this manga (and a few others) there is at least a legit reason for this "stockholm syndrome". A - it's socially acceptable (if they try to escape virtually nobody is going to care) B - they believe their lives could be much much worse. Slaves in the isekai world are expect to be used as cannon fodder. Just look at the war in Ukraine right now. North Koreans are so scared facing real battlegrounds right now some would even rather go back home to live as slaves in shame than stay and die.
Do the slaves serve as @#%^ toys? yes, but clearly it's better than what they view as an alterative. The bottom line here though is this. It's still popular, it's still being printed, and loads and loads of guys are probably still fapping to it. Anyone who reads this and keeps checking for updates is a horrible hypocrite, myself included.

The anime version of this broke the way I saw isekais, and also other anime and manga in general, after this I was done with weak betas as MC's and started to look for stories with guys that were more assertive and dominant with females. This manga is like a drug for me, the only thing that bothers me is that we have to wait a month for 15 pages.

...but this guy IS a weak beta. He bought slaves that couldn't say no to his sexual advances even if he was polite about it and they expected it. That's why it's a drug to so many guys, they get to have the fantasy of being a weak beta but still getting to live as an alpha. "Road to Kingdom" would be the definition of "assertive and dominant".

You think this is bad? Go find the translated version of the light novel this is based off of. The guy who made the manga has already chopped off like 20%. It's soooo grindy in the dungeons. Also, the graphic sex most readers enjoy is actually reduced to just a few lines, the guy spends more time with his inner monologue about sex then doing it.
This isn't an erotic novel, this is "slow life". Slow life means there's life involved.

If you just want sex, well go read hentai. I believe most people like this manga though becuase the sex is a part of the "slow life" not the driving purpose of life. Despite the horny teenager mentality of the MC most of his perspective is "spending TIME with the hot girls I bought, making them look amazing, building their self worth, but still getting the primal male reward of endless sex" NOT "bang a girl, find anouther girl and do the same, then when i get bored I find some way to spice up the sex by making it weird.

Like it or not humans want an "emotional component" to go with their sex life. This fantasy provides (however shallow it is) that critical element.
