Japanese and their shitty taste dude. When you have a legit interesting premise that stands out from the rest of the generic isekai slops, the Japanese be like: yeah put that manga into the chopping block and send out generic isekai slop #51345312.

you only have to look at western movies and games to see the same kind of opinion.
Generic movies (like marvel universe) and video games (like call of duty) racks much more money than innovative ones (dunno for movies but video games, something like blue prince?)

aw that's too bad, i get ppl might get sick of the 'gimmick' but more drama aside i didn't mind it as a chill series, dun think this is based on a novel but i can imagine ppl still writing some ideas even tho manga form might appeal to more ppl

money aside surely there'd be a handful of mangaka with free time working with writers to do self publishing tho that might be hard to get attention on twitter/pixiv (ppl have been getting sick of marvel lately tho)
