MC cheated his way during all the fight so it's a bit disappointing. But at least it seems it'll have some bad effect on him later.

Fighting against a newbie and calling it exciting are just not right. A good fight should be one between people of the same status.

Overall not a very interesting story and development so far, but what the series is good at is keeping you interested because of the mysteries behind the premise and the characters.

Explain page 19-20 to me. He used all his magic on the ice spell, his mp gauge says 0 and yet the next page he starts casting a bunch of spells again?

Another manga where logic bends to the will of the plot. As usual, the MC and other characters just suddenly decide they can and either escape or win miraculously.

The author doesn't know how to write a battle maniac and he doesn't have to look far for an example. One of the most famous anime characters ever is a battle maniac. Goku. Or for something closer to home Kelvin. A battle maniac doesn't kidnap people who are clearly weaker than them to act as a punching bag they seek out enemies equal to or greater than them and while yes the MC is probably too strong for just being on like the 5th floor he hadn't even passed the 10th yet.

Dam this is stupid and horribly written/displayed.
Shows him completely empty of mana -> continues to use spells anyway.
The ??? Skill at first conveniently waits long enough for him to wail, beg for mercy and display his pathetic weak mentality. But instantly activates for the rest of the fight.
There is also the fact that depriving him of vision somehow disturbs his dimension magic, while it earlier was shown to not require vision and in fact maybe even be enhanced without it.

On the 9th page of the next chapter it becomes explained as casting from HP instead of MP (a relatively common game mechanics, especially in roguelike games).

However, I wholeheartedly agree that such things look much better when explained (or at least foreshadowed) beforehand.
