Nah, I think there are a lot of people who do, they’re just wrong. Actually, I think I’ve seen more freckle appreciation through anime and manga characters being drawn with them then I have in real life.

Nah, personally most times i have seen they use freckles to girls and boys they call "plain looking", when was the last time you saw a love interest with freckles that was the leading one?
Gonna list two examples i remember reading recently:

This girl, Emilia, uses a magical necklace to look 'less appealing'. When she removes it, the only thing that changed was her eyes and freckles.

This slave girl, who they say has not a great face. Now looking at her, what do you think they were talking about? (Even the remake said it lol. it's a great series tho.)


These are blatantly saying freckles == bad, and in a good number of corean comics the glow up of the characters involves freckles removal. Must be a asian thing.
