What are the chances that in the next chapters we start with a little backstory about the one black sheep mermaid considered an outcast by the rest because of her bizarre voice and tendency towards too much eyeshadow. After Alex starts playing to summon thunder and lightning while all the other Mermaids are driven off she suddenly feels inspired and starts riffing with him singing a power ballad united by the metal, it then ends when Alex recruits her as his vocalist.
