The one thing that might make it hard to adapt into anime would be the license fees for the legendary songs that would be almost necessary to play. XD

You may be right on that, but there are definitely a ways around that such as 16 bit music or you could even just get the general gist of it and honesty has plenty of ways skirting the regulations.
