Holy fuck that was a shitty ass speech when you combined it with the 12.1 part
"Alchimaira is over, is there anyone who thinks that way ? don't do it ok"
and then proceed to blabber about other, although important topic, which doesn't bode well if combined with other important
topic such as addressing the nation post transfer, because you will divide the focus and attention in a speech
into multiple parts, though i guess what the hell does it even matter when the chapter itself do it too lmao
Speech is just for morale boost as having done a speech before ( Gettysburg Address ) what captivates them is your LOUD VOICE, shiny glasses, hand movements, and especially a cape. DA cape.

The difference with Aragorn is that, in the speech he said
"A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of wolves and shattered shields, when the age of men comes crashing down, but it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good Earth, I bid you stand, Men of the west!"
Aragorn didn't say whether men is over, or ask a question of whether anyone thinks that way
he simply said that it will happen, but it is not today because today is the day they will fight to the bitter end

but here, MC clearly states that his country is over, and then proceeds to ask whether anyone else thinks so
in a speech, especially one with massive weight bearing down in such times of tragedy, you do not ask a question as a leader
you, in all of your capacity, should lead and tell the public what you and your nation will do as if you have overcome the tragedy itself

The speech itself isn't that bad overall, it's just there are some stupid parts that should have been removed
For example, if only he focus on addressing the nation transfer part and proceed to talk about how Alchimaira as a nation will prevail as ever before in the face of this tragedy, that would have been tremendously much more effective rather than asking your citizens for a roar (like wtf ?)
While it could be a translation issue, MC did not say that his country was over. He pretty much said that he was aware that's what people were thinking, but it's not the case. Alchimaira still exists and will still go on because of the people who were there and fighting to keep it going. You could argue with how he worded it, but @kaezeribato was right with the comparison, MC, instead, put the statement in a rhetorical question and accusation that people thought that and went on to make a counter proclamation that the kingdom was not in ruin, but instead would continue on. Kaezeribato is also not wrong that sometimes when nations (or militaries) are facing difficult times that wise leaders acknowledge this rather than ignore it and use it to try to spur their people (and/or forces) on. While I'd agree that the beginning of his speech was a bit awkward, when he got the rest out, the context should help anyone figure out what he was trying to get at in the beginning by saying the country was over when he clearly said it's not over because of its people, it's principles, and it's ongoing effort to strive forward.

so they are character in-game, even if the game time move faster, how exactly it manage to reached "over 120 years"? since our MC still wearing school uniform in chap 1, that mean there are time where he disappear in-game too, i wonder how the game character interprete that.
Think about how some day and night cycles are in game. It’s not in real time, it’s game time so day and night cycles aren’t too long. Every game has them. The NPC’s sense of time may have changed but the time dilation was probably how it’s been so long

yes it is common thing but even then, day/night cycle rarely that short, at best, it usually a week per day so it is hard for me to imagine that game is already long enough for 120 years to already pass.

Bleh. That speech was horrendous. Execution's poor, the overall's message is quite good, but the author's choice of words is very poor. But since this is a "ordinary guy does/spouts ordinary things, people call him genius" kind of thing. Why is this the only nation building manga out there where the ruler isn't some one-man army?... sigh. If only he just focused on the nation building aspect and no forced romances or of his weird kinks, I would've rated this higher, but no -- author just had to put it in.

Anyhow, does any of you know of any good state-building mangas/novels where the MC is the ruler?

but here, MC clearly states that his country is over
The country is over, literaly. They lost everythings but the capital. So he is right to tell them, because it's literaly the end of the country. He then tell them that they will still go on, even if they lost everythings, because they saw worst day in the past.
EDIT : He have to acknowledge that people think this. This is the best way for his people to focus on the future instead of letting them fear that everythings is pointless.

yes but with time accelerated, when he went to school, the king must have disappear for years in compare to in-game time...
Time acceleration when he play, like any "grand strategy" game. You spend 10h of play that equal to 10 year in game.

it depend, if this is an offline game then time certainly only move forward when he play but he did mention he got his servants from gacha and the game likely have pvp too so time should be moving even when he offline, which should be quite often since he is still a student, as what he was wearing in chap 1 is just regular school uniform.

There are some solo game with gacha, and seeing how he described the game it seem to have been the case.
Well, with some luck we will get more info about the game's setting later.

Damn this manga takes so long to release. The latest raw is 12.3.

It seems like they only release 3 chapters (3 parts each) in 2023.

No wonder CEO's never appear in office - our 10 years of work is just a 10h part of their milestone.
