I have no idea why ya'll keep comparing it to Overlord.

MC and his badass videogame organization + OP NPCs gets Isekai'd into a completely new setting. the NPCs are suddenly real people instead of scripts, he immediately rescues someone in danger, gaining the loyalty of an entire village in the process as they are defended against an army of racist assholes siccing their magic familiars on them, then has to deal with a rebellion from his own.......I think I'll stop there...

the MC is completely different and is not personally OP, but otherwise the entire premise and the basic plot was lifted almost 1:1 from the first 2 volumes of Overlord. the big things missing is that the MC isn't a magic demigod, they aren't "Evil", and are not out to conquer anything, by accident or otherwise.

The king had to be weak, for balance sake, this's fine because there's nothing past game over but replaying as it fits.

But now that it wasn't, king had become the weakest part of the framework. Cursed to always be weak, and not particularly bright either. The current most ideal scenario is that the MC just died and replaced with someone both smart and strong.

Felt like very bad attempt on copying both Ainz overlord and Souma (kingdom whatchamacallit). Chase two rabbits, and you'll catch neither one.

Overlord is absolute garbage compared to this.

The MC actually gives off the vibe of a King instead of a loser cosplaying as one and letting his evil dickriding lackies dictate everything for him while he just coasts along the plot, even though none of it matters because nothing poses a threat to him and Nazarick in the first place.

Even for a power fantasy Overlord is boring shit slop that's been overhyped to hell by people with no taste. Sword Art Online is even far better on that front.

I really dig these fantasy nation isekai's, overlord set the tone then dropped the ball but iv really been enjoying this one and Isekai Apocalypse MYNOGHRA in particular. (Alchimaira for good guys, Mynoghra for bad guys :p)

Its exactly like ester de valonia, lets just hope this doesnt end too soon
Everyone saying this is like Overlord obviously have never heard of Ester De Valonia. This is definitely more along the lines of Ester De Valonia, which despite being interesting, was cancelled. The differences are in Ester De Valonia, MC figured out he was transferred into a real world with his NPCs becoming real far faster than this. Similarities are both MC's considered themselves weak, only in Ester De Valonia, MC did have some actual ability to summon things and while he was pretty much the "demon lord" of a mostly non-human kingdom, it took him a while to realize that his former NPC, no real generals were all absolutely loyal to him.

In any case, I hope this gets to continue unlike Ester De Valonia which only got to the point that it confirmed the MC's game-created generals were loyal to him and never got into dealing with any surrounding nations other than some of the natural monsters and/or demons in a nearby region that were mostly dealt with off-screen.

Isekai where the MC wants to go home? What blasphemy is this?!

Anyway, I am honestly surprised. Cringy at times but unexpectedly good.

I kinda liked it imo (although the story was kinda hard to follow). So I pulled my keister to NovelUpdates to read the story properly and check what happens in detail. And what do I see there? Only 77 chapters hiatus, and no translations available.

Oh why must this happen to meeeee

Overlord, but not a grim dark power fantasy for edgelords that spends too much time sucking off the MC and killing off or shelving all the actually interesting characters, was enough reason for me to get into this manga. It's actually pretty good too, managing to be a bit of a power fantasy without coming across as totally masturbatory in the process. So of course it got canceled.
