These last few chapters are basically saying that MC and every character we have met so far, up to even the gods, has exactly zero agency in their own thoughts and actions. They are basically scripted characters in a game of The Sims by these higher-level administrators, thus removing any and all sense of verisimilitude. Nothing they do or think actually matters because it was preprogrammed into them.

They aren't preprogrammed, otherwise there would be no interest in viewing them. It's similar to the Sims in that some moron somewhere can just decide to pluck a person out of their normal life, and toss them into the zoo's Chimp Enclosure, to see how they will react, but they weren't controlling more than some superficial programming.

Thank you 👍 I read the next few chapters. but when I was reading them it felt off or not important anymore. I couldn't understand why until I came back to this thread and saw your comment. It's going to be very hard for me to get invested in this manga again.
