I think it might be a mistranslation. Here's that part in the raws:

"妹が言ってた... なんだっけ!!".

I had to go back and check chapter 1, and I can confirm that he mentions a younger sister that's obsessed with some sort of manga (probably isekai). Based on that, I think he's saying something like "My little sister called them... what was it again!?". So he's basically trying to recall what his sister may have taught him about people with animal ears and tails -- that they're called "beast people".

There was an effort not only by the golems but also by the dragons to fix this, but their efforts were in vain. The golems also noted that translation magic exists, and it works for everyone they tried it on, except for the MC. Moreover, even the "knowledge of the world" the dragons have didn't help.

When Rope became the world's guardian, they also acted upon the MC's wishes of communicating with the others. How he did it wasn't really explained, but I am guessing Rope's prior action of cutting off the world from divine control/jurisdiction and taking over it instead has something to do with it.

I'm actually pissed off with the WN ending, not because of what happened to the MC, but how sloppily everything got wrapped up. The entire handful of hundreds of chapters of the WN introduced a lot of characters, from one-bit characters that were only present for an arc or two, to some that appear even after their arc has ended, helping the MC in their own capacity (Aion and Flo chiefly among them). I wanted to know what happened to them! While the ending gave some info about what some are up to (only for a few of the major and recurring characters), the rest are just subsumed to "they all lived happily ever after, thanks to MC's efforts".

Another thing that pissed me off is the resolution of some of the complications introduced in the later arcs. It'd be spoilerrific if I include them here, but I am not satisfied with the resolution given to them. Like, as if the author got tired of writing the story and went "meh, this will do".

I don't mean to say the author did a bad job, or even that the ending ruined their hard work. I am just pissed because it could have been way greater had the final few arcs been handled with more care.

Feels like seeing the Finish Line, the Writer was trying to end it as fast as possible, likely realized he's mistake, but couldn't take it back, so just made it the way it is to avoid angering TOO MANY fans who were likely ALREADY pissed off by his choice of the ending! I'm sorry but me personally I view it as "the cowards way out" as I feel this is something you do on a SHORT story, but a LONG one with people INVESTING, you WILL piss off alot of people who feel plot threads were left "unresolved" (Latest example in my life, "Dead Island 2" which ended in a VERY annoying fashion that SMELLED of "a sequel we're never going to get" and didn't even BOTHER using it's DLC to give a CONCLUSION! Still expecting a "Dead Island Riptide" like mini sequel! But doubt it, took them SO FUCKING LONG to release this one....just like old times as Dead Island 1 was also the same LOL. Me and my love of these type of suffering to myself as a Reader LOL)
