Which is precisely why expecting him to have a normal reaction is a bit of a long-shot; the assassin training has most likely dulled many of his senses, so it's a miracle that he still has a proper sense of right and wrong.

wow, they used the WOW Shadowlands rift in the sky between life and death. If they now used the same quality of story this will be trash and it's already meh.

This is literally World of Warcraft the manga, the elf called her world Azeroth in a previous chapter, the plot is about the Shadowlands/The Emerald Dream. The realm shattering is ripped straight out of the Shadowlands expansion trailer. The big bad is clearly just 'The Jailer' that connected the world of the living with the afterlife (The Shadowlands). The shattering between the worlds was caused by the Helm of Dominat-... I mean the 'Demonic Weapons'... I mean wtf is going on? Are we about to find out the Zovaal the Banished On-... I mean Arold the Warlock used to be the arbit-... I mean a beacon of justice and light until he realized the First One-... I mean the universe is flawed and unprepared???

I'm digging this, their relationship feels a bit quick and rough on the edges, but they also showed us the disparity in their views of killing: for one it's something disgusting and to embarrased about, for the other it's part of an honorable warrior's job.
