This chapter and the previous one are so silly. Our MC is a Japanese person using knowledge from his world to make advances while utilizing cheat magic, but then a pseudo-Japanese person shows up and uses knowledge from his pseudo-Japan to improve his advances. Then a non-Japanese entity stomps in and just wants to take it all.

To be fair to the nobles though, building a walled fortress/town incredibly quickly would look like a show of force to literally anybody. I know the readers would prefer that the nobles make contact with our MC and negotiate or whatever, but our MC is basically establishing a country with better technology in every facet compared to the territory they currently live in with little oversight. He's lucky everyone sees him as a nine-year-old because that shit does not fly at all if an adult was doing it all.

Not saying the nobles are the good guys, but what did MC expect? He basically built a fortress without letting his Lord know what was going on. MC should at least keep the government in mind when trying to do new things. Doing whatever strikes his fancy is just asking for trouble..... 😅

Even in modern times that is true and it is not only the government. HOA is notorious in penalizing unauthorized construction even if it is just repainting the house.
