It‘s probably no coincidence that they “came to their senses” just after the dark god‘s influence waned when he was resealed by transforming the black stones to statues of the creator god.

One thing I generally dislike about this manga is that it's written more as a summary without actually getting too deep into things. Which is a bit of a shame
