It's only the tool that allows him to do just about anything effortlessly.

He considers the tool as distinct from himself, but others consider it as part of him. This can make sense since there is likely no force in that world that can keep the tool away from him save for the gods themselves. So it's this difference in perspective that leads to this hilarious pic of puzzled Kuros.

This chapter really helps putting things back into perspective.
It shows how the Forest is an extremely dangerous place and how every immigrant so far was already high-tier. Including the ones who fainted at the sight of the resident wolves and spiders.
The MC never struggled because of the Tool and then the Kuros and Zabuton just settling in peacefully to begin with. But normal humans without assistance would have been dead in a single day.
