I think this wasn't an effect of being in taijuu village but rather, he was controlled by evil god (now the cat) who was somehow cleanse by the 7 statues MC created on those points! Since then the darkness in the darkness dragon faded in consequence! At least thats how I feel about it...

I wish this one didn’t get clipped to such a short manga, the earlier chapters were so fulfilling having longer plot lines each release. Right now it just feels like the mangaka makes these because he has to under contract, not much passion left here.

That pissed me off in MHA, you've been watching the anime for 8 seasons now, if you haven't learned the character's name and quirk you're never going to, stop putting it on the screen each time they appear.

I've felt that way for about 200 chapters. For a long, long time, this has been one of the lowest effort manga around. The imported backgrounds, the characters being drawn simply and in the same pose, copy and pasted, the use of tons of narration so as to avoid the need for sorting out proper dialogue paneling and positioning...so many things.

The only reason I don't totally blame the artist is knowing that the original WN was somehow even lazier, and that's where all the tell-don't-show comes from. Which is also why the anime is the least bad version, because you just can't get away with so much; you have to show some motion and interaction.

Even so, the way the plot is just an endless interleaving of inconsequential filler tournament and festival arcs means this is doomed to be boring regardless.
