yeah i guess it also depends on if the residents want/need something specific, but other than his harem being a bit overprotective , i'm surprised he wouldn't take a small group, to go to some 'normal city' and 'sightsee'/what kinda things are out there or so to either copy or improve on (plus i guess in the og world he was always sickly/stuck in a hospital bed so he probably never used an actual pool when he was alive)
Wouldn't be the least bit surprised if in this manga he never leaves the village or the forest surrounding it.

"A Bit" is way understatement. Every time he do tries to leave village, to solve problems, his harem do everything to stop him from it, so he always need to wiggle his way out it. On occasions when he do able to leave, his escort each time... way to eager to 'protect' him. On latest try (chapter 892) he and his male attendants "wearing wide sashes" that "looked just like the ones candidates wear during elections" which read “Married desu”.
