Taste-test in the middle of alcohol-making?
I don't see the point. It takes a long time for stuff to become alcohol. It's not the same as cooking. A beer could take at least 4 weeks to ferment into beer, and if they taste the beer at 2 weeks, they'd be tasting a different thing. It's like tasting the dough used to make bread, it won't taste like bread. You taste-test beer once it's done, not while in the middle of brewing.
The tests you make during brewing is to taste the composition, the acidity, the consistency and the aroma. It's not to get drunk.
