@Riger Not much of an evolutionary dead end so much as a cultural one since they're the ones that decided to implement the test. Like the Spartans, who, despite their low numbers, decided not to allow immigration and full citizenship which kept their population and army low.

@Riger Not really impossible they kinda decide who they want they make it easy for people they want and make it hard for people they don't want so I think it works.

Also, the reason they live with harpies is probably because they need servants who can fly... their habitat should be made to accomodate flying humanoids, so it would probably be hard for non-fliers to serve them... =P

@tuatara1 in most anime/manga, angels are bird people... humans with wings... the demons in these stories aren't the same as the biblical source, they are just inspired by them...
