Even though I hate it, the politics makes sense. The girl didn’t want to leave because of the implications and in a sense, her dying in Howling Village would’ve been a better outcome (it would just mean she died from illness, so the villages could‘ve traded medicine). I don't understand this scenario at all. Why was the girl returned? Wasn't it because she'd have died otherwise? And so I don't understand what's so bad about her being returned? The whole "rotten" analogy? What's the said "implications"?
