I understand that, given his background and the situation, it's within the realm of possibility for him to be this oblivious. However, it's just too frustrating, and I'm not sure about continuing if this is supposed to be the funny part...

Edit: I just skipped and jump to latest chapter (vol. 15, ch. 76) to see what's happening. Turns out it was a perfect time. So… remember when he said people in that world have peerless beauty? Yeah, no. It's just his definition of "beauty" is just as messed up as his brain, I suppose. I mean, sure, he might be considered ugly, but it's not like it's orc vs shoujo manga cast levels or anything.

Obviously I haven't read the manga, but this made me question what makes him so repulsive. If the people there are actually not so different, then why? Is it a curse? Is it his antics? I don't know. TL;DR: don't feel bad for him. He's a retard, probably.
